On the 9th of August and the 12th of September 2 of the AWT2022 contenders (Luke de Weert and Theo de Blic) had an unlucky event happening and both of them broke their back. While Theo had a minor fracture and didn't need surgery, Luke was more unlucky because of 2 fractures on the vertebrae and needed immidiate surgery.
Because of this event, both pilots will not be able to compete in the final stop of the season in Albania. We wish all the best and a fast recovery to both pilots so they can be back for the AWT2023.
